My wife and
I had the pleasure of eating at Helene Darroze as our first meal at an
extraordinary restaurant. Everything from the staff, ambiance, and of
course the prixe fix meal and accompanying wine was of the finest quality.
Ms. Darroze's foie gras was splendid and each course required new sterling
settings, a real treat for us. The wine and sommelier were affordable.
When we told him we were going to Burgundy, he recommended some vineyards.
So much for the horrible rumors of behavior in the City of Light. We also
had other wonderful meals in France but this one ranks up there in the top
three. |
